Peer-Led Learning Program

Designed and launched a new internal learning program (“training chapter”) to build team capability in key work processes. The program included a formal charter, structured learning sessions, and supporting documentation. Participants have already begun applying new skills by assisting with onboarding and peer training.

My Role

  • Drafted a charter outlining the chapter’s purpose and goals

  • Designed and delivered training sessions to teach key work processes

  • Created documentation to support ongoing learning

  • Applied a “teaching without telling” approach to build problem-solving skills

  • Guided members as they began supporting onboarding activities

Key Challenges

  • Building interest and engagement around a brand-new chapter

  • Balancing structured guidance with opportunities for peer-driven learning

  • Ensuring training was practical and immediately applicable to daily work

Impact

  • Chapter successfully onboarded three new hires in the first month

  • Provided a repeatable structure for teaching and knowledge-sharing

  • Increased team capability by spreading expertise beyond one role

Skills Gained

  • Program Development – establishing a new training chapter from scratch

  • Charter Writing – defining purpose, structure, and measurable outcomes

  • Instructional Design – blending formal training with hands-on learning

  • Facilitation – guiding sessions using “teaching without telling” methods

  • Onboarding Support – reducing reliance on a single trainer by enabling chapter members to take part
